(From Wikipedia) Vascular plants, also called tracheophytes or collectively Tracheophyta form a large group of land plants that have lignified tissues (the xylem) for conducting water and minerals throughout the plant. They also have a specialized non-lignified tissue (the phloem) to conduct products of photosynthesis.
FACT: Older eras of botanists and naturalists considered tracheophytes to be "higher-order plants", or plants that were more evolved and complex than the rest!
